Biography
Richlain and Barbara, born in Hattiesburg, MS, have traveled and worked across the USA and abroad. The couple has taught at many venues including seminars at Auburn University on the art of Giclee print making. Photographers travel to Hattiesburg from across the country to study with the Robinsons. Richlain founded the prestigious Twelve Pixels group whose membership includes twelve studios among the elite in the art and business of photography.
Richlain, a honored graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, has studied and worked with many renowned photo artists. He worked as a photo journalist for Hearst Publications in the seventies and later supervised printing for fine art photography books for Hollywood’s elite photographers. He furthered his education at UCLA while operating Studio Six West in Los Angeles at the Brewery Art Complex.
Barbara served as a Vice President with Bank of America while assisting Richlain in his photography work. She continued her education at USC and studied with artist in the movie industry and at The Brewery Art Complex. In 1999 Barbara received her certification from Professional Photographers of America. Richlain and Barbara have received numerous awards and honors from their peers. The Robinsons are full time photographers and small business operators. Robinson Photography is an independent business owned and operated by Richlain and Barbara.
